A police officer is driving by the zoo, when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents. The police officer jumps from his patrol car, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful hit from his baton. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the police officer brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly. A reporter has seen the whole scene, and addressing the officer, says, ' Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a police officer do in my whole life. ' 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as my duties require. ' 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I is just saddening to hear of the Olympic games getting over shadowed by the the actions of some " BAD" cops and Canadian Forces personel who were top be the shining stars to this world wide event and a symbol of national pride for Canada. I was totally sickened to hear that an RCMP S/SGT. with 19 years of service on the force has been booted from the security detail and charged with theft under $5000. Yes. you read that right, S/SGT. Suzanne Denise Marie Martel, a 19 year veteran of my beloved force has brought disgrace and shame not only on herself, but to the RCMP, and to Canada in general at a time when we were to be ambassador's to the world, the Olympic's that were 10 years in the planning, preperation, and staging. The games that united the country with the torch relay....brought down a few notches because of a members unethical actions.
