HUMOUR TIME!!!! I'm tired of looking at my memory sticks for 11 years of training tips I've saved!!








I know the 3 jokers in the VPD van photo. When I was in "E" Division and stationed in North Vancouver if we had days off together we'd hop in the car for a short 30 minute drive to Pt. Robert's, Washington and terrorize The Breakers Tavern!! Ahhh....the good old days!!!! :-) :-) And coming back in to the Canadian side I'd just clear them through Custom's, another benefit of being RCMP!!! ( and NO, we didn't bring back too much cheap booze!! We took a small car. LOL!!!)

Just a quick note to wish all of my friends in the USA a very happy and safe July 4th!!! If you're "on the job" today in LEO LAND be extremely safe, the sound of a firecracker can sound a lot like a gun, and if you're off work today, take time to sit back, relax, and spend time with your loved ones. To my "agricultural" friends in Montana, yes, you know who you are!!! Sit back with a few cold ones, spend time with the " little farmer's", enjoy the day!! EVIDENCE COLLECTION AND YOU--the Public Safety Diver ( PSD) All agencies and PSD teams have their own SOP's and SOG's and I am in no way telling you to deter from the methods outlined in yours, what I'll attemp to do in this brief is to give you all a few hints/pointers that you may already use, or may want to fit into your operating practices. Lets face it, an big wide open body of water is an invitation for the bad guy to ditch and try to evade the finding of things that will put him away. It is OUR job to recover this evidence to the best of our abilities and our teams abilities. The criminal has the mindset of , " if it sinks to the bottom nobody will ever see it again." WRONG, this is where we come in. Even though the evidence is UW it does not negate the need to apply the same crime scene techniques as used above on dry land.
